Hi, HX Design.

Ok, so what is HX design?

Human Experience design (or HX design!) is a design framework which combines a number of existing design principles such as user research, UI design and design thinking with empathy at its core.

WHY WE USE IT

HX Design in a nutshell.

01

What matters is the experience.

In contrast to other disciplines, HX design doesn’t focus on designing for a specific type of person (for instance, a user, a client...) but for any human who could be connected to or influenced by the product, system or service at any point in the life cycle.

The idea behind HX design is to “think human” and take human perspectives, emotional states and emotional wellbeing into account.

What matters is the experience.
02

How do we use it?

HX design is at the core of our business. We believe that humans should be taken into account at all times. To achieve this, we use HX design as a framework and apply it through HX methods.

How do we use it?

EXAMPLES

HX Design Sprints

A design sprint is a 4 day process to solve big challenges and create new products. It compresses months of work into a few days.

We use design sprints to enable our clients to transform their businesses into Human AI businesses. After an HX Design Sprint we move straight into a human-driven development cycle to bring our brand new ideas to life.

HX Community

The HX community is a co-creation community made up of our beta clients. We believe our clients are the experts in their field and aim to connect our clients’ business decisions with our technology.

The benefits of the HX community include knowledge sharing events, the ability to impact our roadmap directly and a close connection between our end users and our technology. Interested? Apply here.

HX Methods applications

To make sure we follow a human-centred design process both internally and externally, we compiled a collection of methods which can be applied to a range of situations and needs such as: collecting human insights, ensuring relevance of discussions, proving or disproving assumptions, getting everyone on the same page, recognizing people’s goals and needs, ... So, what’s the problem?

Why is this so difficult?  Well, current product development processes (particularly at large companies) are often slow, unfocused and impractical.
We believe we can help.

Using HX Design we can:

We apply HX methods to make sure we stay focused. We use roadmaps which are shared with our clients. We create mock-ups. We support you and your team on keeping on track.

Participating in the design sprint with Element Human was not just key for the BBC’s project but also was engaging and a great learning experience for me personally! Committing to a design sprint was a big deal for us! An investment in time and money while being a little unsure of the outcome we would achieve. Our nervousness was short lived, the team gave us the confidence to trust the process. We were amazed at what we achieved in such a condensed time frame
